Emmanuel, Jean-Noël, Rose, Anas and Talliah are fireflies of social bonds. As handymen, confidants and observers, they maintain the microclimate of a human ecosystem. They talk, listen, fix, keep watch and walk a lot. In the buildings they look after, they are the beating hearts that bring warmth and life to a shared habitat. Au Contact portrays caretakers and managers of different generations. Through a transgenerational narrative, the film captures their daily lives, gestures and rhythms, reflecting the evolution and diversity of the profession, and the emotion inherent in the human 'contact' that defines it, drawing on everyday stories and intimate moments.
Shot in France in Angers, Saint-Leu-la-Forêt, Marseille, Le Pecq and Metz.
